Nintendo just announced that along with the release of the new Smash Bros. on Wii U will be a GameCube controller adapter. This is great news for those who prefer that controller (myself included) over the Wii remotes and the slightly awkward Pro controller (which feels weightless and less comfortable for Smash Bros.) Along with the reveal, Nintendo announced more information about their Smash Bros. Invitational, including their competitors(including UCSC’s PewPewU), the host, and the rules. The Smash Bros. Invitational will be held at the Nokia Theatre on Tuesday June 10th, and will be streamed on E3’s and Nintendo’s Twitch as well as Nintendo YouTube channel. For those that want to attend the tournament, Nintendo will be giving out 3000 wristbands on Tuesday morning starting at 9:30am. First come first serve however. For those of you who want to just play the game but don’t have an E3 pass, well you’re in luck because you can go to participating Best Buy during E3 week to try out the game for yourself.
